A NORTHORPE HALL WEDDING: JODI & OLIVER

We met at a night out at Teesside University. Jodi was a student and Oliver came to Teesside to meet a mutual friend; this was 10 years ago now! Oliver made the first move, securing the deal with his dancing. 

Where and when was the proposal?

Proposal was at home, in 2017 a few days before Jodi’s birthday. It was one of only a handful of times he had offered to cook!

What was the favourite part of your wedding day?

Jodi – I loved walking down the aisle, after all the disappointment of cancelled dates and stress, that was the first moment I knew it was finally happening. Seeing family and friends to each side with Ollie stood at the end made me realise that the waiting was worth it.

Ollie – I enjoyed the day once I had said the vows and survived my speech. Catching up with friends and family with a few drinks and a dance with my wife was the best part.

What was it that made you choose Simply Beautiful Photo & Film to capture your day?

We saw a Facebook advert for Simply Beautiful and instantly knew it was the type of photos we wanted for the day. The photos were individual and relaxed which was exactly what we wanted. 

Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding?

Order extra desserts for yourself to keep in the back for later on, you’ll need the energy to carry on dancing all night!
