Share a little back story? How did you guys meet? Who made the first move?
We met in 2011 when I started working at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. Phil already worked there, but for 18 months we didn’t really pay attention to each other! Then after I came back to work after travelling around Australia, my first shift back was New Year’s Eve 2012, Phil offered to give me a lift home after work and we drove for hours, conversation was flowing and we couldn’t stop laughing with each other. By the next month we were dating.
Where and when was the proposal?
Phil proposed to me in York in July 2018. He rented the same Riverside apartment that we stayed in for one of our first weekend breaks away 5 years prior. He had already driven up the same morning to fill the apartment with lots of balloons, flowers and cupcakes.
What was the favourite part of your wedding day?
Leanne – The moment I walked into the ceremony room, linking my dad’s arm, all the guests turned around to look at us and my focus being on my husband-to-be at the end of the aisle. Phil – “The ceremony itself” (short but sweet answer from him!)
What was it that made you choose Simply Beautiful Photo & Film to capture your day?
After looking at their previous work, we loved the style of the photos and how all the emotion was captured in each photo. We liked the fact that they offered different packages as well.
Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding?
Avoid wedding planning during a global pandemic! … Take a moment with your partner to really enjoy and appreciate your special day, don’t overthink things and do what makes you happy.
