AN IVY HILL HOTEL WEDDING: KERRY & STEVEN

Share a little backstory?  How did you guys meet?  Who made the first move? 

We met in Buddha Lounge nightclub, Romford in 2011. I fell down the stairs (Steven insists it was due to his good looks!), he rescued me from the bottom and we have been together ever since! 

Where and when was the proposal?

 I had a feeling something was going on and swiftly made sure Steven knew I did not want any fuss if he ever proposed so it was just the two of us at home over Christmas 2015. Steven got nervous and ended up throwing the ring box at me instead of the traditional down on one knee!

What was the favourite part of your wedding day? 

Our favourite part was the whole day! After postponing from 2021 it was so lovely to be able to have everyone we cared about with us together in one room to celebrate with us after so long apart!

What was it that made you choose Simply Beautiful Photo & Film to capture your day? 

From our initial talks with Sarah Jane I felt comfortable straight away, we loved the previous work we had seen and our engagement shoot with Julian took away all of our fears of being photographed! 

Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding? 

I think it is really important to stay true to who you are as a couple and remember throughout the planning process why you are getting married in the first place as the planning can be very overwhelming!
