Share a little backstory?  How did you guys meet?  Who made the first move?

We went to First School together, but only really started talking to each other near the end of High School. 
Ben made the first move when he bought me a bar of Milkybar chocolate for my birthday – who knew that would be the start of our journey together, which led to us tying the knot 13 years later. 

Where and when was the proposal?

After many adventures together, Ben and I went to Andorra on our first skiing trip. Ben kept asking to take some pictures of us with the view behind us, but with me being my stubborn self I was questioning why Ben was so desperate to take the photos! Little did I know, Ben had set the camera to video and recorded the whole proposal!

What was the favourite part of your wedding day?

The whole wedding day was surreal, but if we had to pick out a few special moments we would say:-

Naturally, walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time on our wedding day was an unforgettable moment for us.

We loved walking into reception room and seeing all the faces of our friends and family, along with the vision we had created come to life. 

When the band gathered everyone in a circle, with Ben and I in the middle, and asked everyone to put their phone torches on. The band then began to play Don’t Look Back In Anger by Oasis and everyone sang along. It was a special, intimate moment with all our closest friends and family. 

What was it that made you choose Simply Beautiful Photo & Film to capture your day?

From day one, we were just put at ease. As a couple who don’t take many pictures of themselves, we weren’t sure what to expect. We had an engagement shoot and loved it. There weren’t any awkward poses – the afternoon felt very natural and fun. It was a natural choice to book Sarah Jane and the team for our wedding day. On our wedding day, Kirsty and Sarah Jane were just incredible.

Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding?

The most important thing for us on the day was to stay together – there is so much going on during the day, that it is easy to get separated. Ultimately, the day is about the two of you, so spend as much time together as you can.
