THE GRAND HOTEL: JADE & THOMAS

Share a little back story?  How did you guys meet?  Who made the first move?

Funnily enough in the height of online dating with tinder and bumble, of course we met on… Twitter  we followed each other after a brief conversation over our shared love of Christmas time, Tom slid into my DM’s and the rest is history 

Where and when was the proposal?

The proposal was during the heatwave of August 2020 freshly out of lockdown we took a trip to Stratford Upon Avon, Tom spoiled me and booked a suite in a hotel, we took a long walk along the canal with ice cream and finished the evening in a restaurant with champagne where he got down on one knee and asked to spend the rest of our lives together. It was perfect. 

What was the favourite part of your wedding day?

Our favourite part of our wedding day was the times we got to spend alone, away from the hustle and bustle of the day and our guests. Where we ended up in the park and at Thatcher’s rock near sunset. We loved those moments to fully soak in how far we have come together and allowed us to reflect on what was really important to us.

We picked Simply Beautiful Photo & Film  to capture our day as the minute I saw their photos I could not stop thinking about it. When I was researching photographers for our day I found many others who were cheaper or included similar things but the vibes just weren’t there. The actual product you provide is so unique, the personalities of the photographers and I couldn’t imagine us booking anyone else. 

Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding?

My biggest advice would be enjoy every moment. Your wedding day goes so fast and ultimately the only thing that matters on that day is the fact you get to marry the love of your life.
