AN ABBEY FARM WEDDING: ABI & CRAIG

Share a little back story?  How did you guys meet?  Who made the first move?

 We met in our early days at secondary school and actually dated for a few months. We then reunited in 2017 and started dating again after Abi couldn’t wait till Craig was visiting from training to ask him to be her boyfriend over Snapchat much to Craig’s annoyance who was going to ask her to be his girlfriend the next time he visited.

Where and when was the proposal?

Over the years Abi had moved to Brighton for university and Craig lived in Odium for work but we always found time to spend together. We made it a tradition every Christmas to go to the Royal Pavilion in Brighton to go ice skating. In 2022 we came back to Brighton and Craig proposed on the Rink leaving Abi a blubbery mess who obviously said yes.

What was the favourite part of your wedding day?

Our favourite part of the wedding was cutting the cake and feeding it to each other, while short, it felt so sweet intimate.

 We chose Simply Beautiful because the work and photos were just as their name states, simply beautiful. Not to mention they’ve also worked with military couples before so we knew we would be comfortable with them.

Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding?

Our top tip for anyone planning a wedding is to have a joint email address for everything to be sent to and to have a spreadsheet for the finances.
