Share a little back story? How did you guys meet? Who made the first move?
Myself and Jake met online during Covid, I am a Nurse and Jake is a Primary School teacher, so had a different perspective of the world following this, Whilst everyone else was seeing a more chilled, quiet quality family time, Our jobs had changed immeasurably.
Where and when was the proposal?
Jake technically made the first move in messaging me first, however I had to encourage him with all the next steps. Jake proposed at a beauty spot in Cumbria called Whinlatter on 31st May 2022. As far as i was aware my family were coming up the day before however they called to say they were unable to get up as their car had broken down, Jake took for me this walk to ‘occupy me’ on what was supposed to be our first family day, once he had proposed, We got home to all of my family waiting for us, which was a lovely surprise.
What was the favourite part of your wedding day?
What was it that made you choose Simply Beautiful Photo & Film to capture your day?
We chose Simply Beautiful photo and film because we wanted someone who could make us feel at ease and also has the ability to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera, neither of us particularly like having our photo taken but we know there will be pictures that we will treasure forever, We cant thank you guys enough for this!
What was your favourite part of the wedding?
My favourite part of the wedding was seeing how excited our Nieces and Nephews were to get dressed up and have their hair and makeup done, Also running around and getting pictures with everyone, all of our guests got into the spirit of it and these are some of the photos we are most looking forward to (I hope they weren’t too traumatic for Heidi to photograph) Jake says his favourite bit was seeing me walking towards him down the aisle.
Any Top Tips for future couples?
Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding?Our top tips would be do as much prep as you can beforehand, something always crops up unexpectedly and sit down properly and decide on your photos, I thought I’d listed all of ours, it wasn’t util a few days later and I realised there was photos we probably would have liked but didn’t ask for or think of. Jake’s top tip is make sure everyone knows exactly what they are doing on the day (We’ve still got 70 bags of confetti because they didn’t get given out)
