Share a little back story? How did you guys meet? Who made the first move?
We actually met in the early days of Tinder back in 2014. Dan was back in the UK for only 6 weeks between playing rugby in Spain and about to move to Hong Kong. We went on a few dates and went to Spain with Dans family after only knowing each other a matter of weeks! Skip two years of long distance and a number of trips back and to to Hong Kong, Ellen made the move out.
Where and when was the proposal?
The proposal came in December 2019 back where we had our first date; the Great Orme in Llandudno. We officially got married in Hong Kong on April Fools Day 2021 in the height of covid with only a few friends around us. We were due to get married in Spain originally but Covid had other plans. Skip forward 5 years and two children later and we finally celebrated with our family and UK friends in Oddfellows, Chester.
What was it that made you choose Simply Beautiful Photo & Film to capture your day?
We heard about Simply Beautiful photo & film from a friend who’s friends had used you as a photographer for a wedding they attended. Sarah Jane was fantastic and made everyone feel comfortable behind the lens (including our 2 and 4 year old)!
Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding?
Top tips: try to focus on what you want as a couple and less about other people.
