A RIVINGTON CHURCH WEDDING: LAUREN & DREW

Share a little back story?

We met at Leeds festival when we had just turned 17. We went to the same college before Drew went off to Leeds university to study graphics, art & design and I went to uni in London to become a paramedic. On returning home Drew got a job as a graphic and web designer and I was a paramedic. We worked hard for 3 years living between our parents houses and saved to buy our home which we spent 18 months renovating before moving in together when we was 24. Drew proposed on my 27th birthday at home.

How did you guys meet?

We met at Leeds festival in the summer. But it was only when we went back to college after the summer that we both saw each other there. When we met at Leeds festival we didn’t realise we went to the same college. The rest is history haha

Who made the first move?

Drew.

Where and when was the proposal?

26/05/22 (Lauren’s birthday) at home.

What was the favourite part of your wedding day?

Very cliche but we both said saying our vows. We also loved the horse & carriage & arriving back at the marquee to Chesqua, paddy & the strings.

What was it that made you choose Simply Beautiful Photo & Film to capture your day?

Initially your pictures on social media, we loved how light, summery and fun they are. You also take amazing unique shots with a good mixture of posed but also natural candid shots. But what sealed the deal was how friendly, enthusiastic, joyful and upbeat you both were. We knew we’d always have our wedding photographers/ videographers by our side throughout the whole day and you two were definitely people we wanted to be around.

Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding?

Don’t have a marquee in a field in England hahahhaa. On a serious note it’s one day where you’ll have both of all your friends & family in one room together so just go with the flow and enjoy whatever happens!
