A KINGSTON UPON HULL WEDDING: TERRI & ANDY

Share a little back story?  How did you guys meet?  Who made the first move?

We both met 17 years ago, I was 15 and Andy was 17. I went to his village with a few of my friends who knew him. We got talking etc, he used to pick me up when he finished work, we would then go out in the cars with other friends (oh to live that quiet life again) and the rest is history really. We finally made it official 5 to 6 months later. Andy definitely made the first move, I wasn’t that keen on him even when we became official but he grew on me. 

Where and when was the proposal?

He proposed on my 30th in 2021. It was at Dalby Forest. We went for a lovely little walk with Chester our cocker spaniel and he proposed on top of a HUGE rock, over looking the forest. Was bliss! I had no idea he was going to do it, he had my mum, sister, and best friend involved. My friend came to my house in the morning, unbeknown to me, to drop some cupcakes off that read “will you marry me?”. He set it all out which included, the cupcakes, some gin and lemonade (my favourite) and a bag that had the design of my ring in….and then out he pulled some ring sizer  He had my ring bespoke made and unfortunately it wasn’t ready in time. It was so lovely and thoughtful. 

What was the favourite part of your wedding day?

The whole day was my favourite. I cannot wait to relive it when our film is ready. 

What was it that made you choose Simply Beautiful Photo & Film to capture your day? 

I’m not really into social media but when Andy proposed, I was forced by my sister to get Instagram

because apparently that’s where the best people are! I followed a few or a lot of people that are involved in weddings and up popped you guys. I fell in love with your photos and what stood out to me more was you being able to fly a drone. I thought “how amazing would them pictures look”. and again, the rest is history. So glad i choose you!

Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding?

I think the only tip for futures brides is…. Do not panic! everything happens for a reason and everything falls into place on the day. Its okay to have melt downs before the big day, i had plenty. But on the day all them negative thoughts will be forgetten about and you will have the BEST day.
