A NORTHWICH WEDDING: EMMA & ED

Share a little back story?  How did you guys meet?

We were introduced through a mutual friend (one of Emma’s bridesmaids) when we were 16 and soon became good friends! We were best friends for years and Ed managed to break through the friendzone with a little help from my (Emma) mum!

Who made the first move?

Ed – it too a few times before I agreed to go on a date!

Where and when was the proposal?

An autumn walk in November at Tatton Park

What was the favourite part of your wedding day?

It was all amazing but our stand out moments were the tractor journey back to the reception with our ushers and bridesmaid’s following begin on matching tractors and the second was the last ones standing dancing on the bar at the end of the night having the best time of our lives!

What was it that made you choose Simply Beautiful Photo & Film to capture your day?

We saw another couples wedding video on Facebook through a friend and the background song was a favourite of ours (it was made to be) and the Simply Beautiful team could do it all photos, videos and your style was exactly what we were looking for.

Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding?

Do what you want to do, make it your day and it doesn’t need to fit the ‘norm’, leave your guests saying ‘the day was just them, it had them written all over it!’ A small example, I (Emma) always wear a watch and I felt weird not wearing one! Some would say why do you need to know the time on your wedding day, but I hated not knowing the time. Ed bought me a new watch as part of my wedding present and whilst I didn’t wear it for the ceremony, I put it on when I got to the reception and I honestly thought it helped to slow the day down and helped me to remember the whole day as I could link memories to certain times of the day! Even Ollie said that he had never seen a bride where I watch and I am so glad I didn’t follow the norm and did me!
