Share a little back story? How did you guys meet? Who made the first move?
We met online (Bumble) – a true modern love story! We bonded over a love of sausage dogs, the Jersey Boys musical and Friends the tv show. Our first date was cocktails at Pitcher and Piano. It must have gone well, as our second date was lunch the very next day!
Where and when was the proposal?
Kate loves all things Christmas and to honour this, Nathan proposed on Christmas Eve 2020. He had planned to propose in New York in front of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller, and had arranged for our families to be there as a surprise. Sadly the pandemic got in the way of this plan and instead Nathan proposed at home with a bauble that read ‘Will you marry me?’ We celebrated in style with Domino’s pizza and champagne!
What was the favourite part of your wedding day?
Nathan: Seeing Kate walk down the aisle
Kate: it is hard to choose just one – for me it was all of the emotional moments – seeing my Dad for the first time, seeing Nathan for the first time, saying ‘I do’, listening to the speeches, and the first dances.
What was it that made you choose Simply Beautiful Photo & Film to capture your day?

Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding?
1. Your wedding is your day – so do it your way.
2. Detail is everything! The centrepieces, place settings, stationery and signage might seem insignificant or disproportionately costly, but your guests notice these details (and even though you won’t have much time to admire them on the day, they’ll be captured by your photographer for you to remember and look back on).
3. Enjoy every second. If something doesn’t go the way you planned on the day, chances are your guests will be none the wiser, so don’t let it bother you.
