A RUDDINGTON GRANGE WEDDING: MELISSA & STEVEN

Share a little back story?  How did you guys meet?  Who made the first move?

We met when we were 16 years old through mutual friends, we used to talk day and night and it was Steven that eventually made the first move by asking me out on a date to a place called canal house.

Where and when was the proposal?

Steven proposed on New Year’s Day of 2018, the day our son Harrison was born. He proposed by having a baby vest made that said ‘mummy will you make daddy the happiest man alive by being his wife?’ He got Harrison dressed for the first time and gave me Harrison and this is when the penny dropped! Harrison was the first baby born in Nottingham in 2018 so because of this we was on the front cover of the Nottingham newspaper and so was our engagement

What was the favourite part of your wedding day?

 My favourite part of the wedding was our first dance.

What was it that made you choose Simply Beautiful Photo & Film to capture your day?

I saw Simply Beautiful Photo and Film online and I just fell in love with the stunning images that were on the website, I never bothered enquiring with other photographers! 

Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding?

My tips would be, as stressful as it may seem planning such a momentous occasion, take it all in and enjoy every second because before you know it, it’s a distant memory.
