A SHEENE MILL WEDDING: DANIELLE & ANDREW

Share a little back story?  How did you guys meet?  

We met on Tinder in 2018 and had our first date at a Tapas restaurant in Camden Town. Shortly after meeting we realised we were meant to meet each other. Andrew grew up where Danielle’s dad was born and they both went to the same school. Both our mums are called Gillian (coincidentally both Danielle’s grandmothers are called Doreen). Danielle’s paternal grandfather died at a very young age and as a result her dad lost contact with all of that side of the family. We later discovered that Andrew’s best friend’s dad is actually Danielle’s dad’s first cousin so our relationship has reunited Danielle’s dad with a number of his family. We also discovered that both our grandmothers are buried in the same street of the same cemetery (Islington crematorium) literally two rows apart. In our eyes we were just meant to meet each other.

Andrew went in for a kiss on our first date 

Where and when was the proposal?

One of our favourite films to watch together is Home Alone 2. We went on a trip to New York in December 2022 between Xmas and New Year. Andrew proposed underneath the Rockefeller Tree on 29th Dec.

What was the favourite part of your wedding day?

Our first dance. Our band played an acoustic cover of Creed – My Sacrifice which is one of our favourite songs.

We liked that you did both photo and video but also that you capture the more candid photos.

Have you got any top tips for couples who are planning their wedding?

Enjoy every minute it goes so fast! Don’t listen to what other people want. It’s your day do it your way – have the band, have the theme you want and don’t be afraid of what others think.
